24 Hour Exceptional Incident Report

ASSAULT
On June 8 at 3:57pm, a vehicle east bound on Southern veered left, striking the raised media and colliding with a light pole. A 6-year-old passenger was not restrained and struck his head on the windshield, causing a severe laceration and possible internal injuries. a 9-year-old passenger was restrained and sustained bruises. The driver was suspected of impairment and was arrested for aggravated assault for the 6-year-old's injuries and endangerment for the 9-year-old's injuries. Vehicle Crimes responded and assumed the investigation. A DCS referral was done by patrol.

ROBBERY
On June 8 at 8:51pm, a Hispanic male suspect entered the Famous Footwear on E Southern. Suspect confronted the clerk with a knife and demanded money. Once the money was turned over by the clerk, the suspect exited the store and headed west bound on foot. Unknown if the suspect left the area in a vehicle or continued on foot. Suspect described as 5'7" tall, 170 lbs., wearing blue shirt and tan shorts.
